Delhi and Sikkim — Paired 

Delhi and Sikkim are paired. They have many things in common along with things in which they are unique, making them diverse. Let's see what is common and what makes them diverse.

Delhi is the capital of the country India while Sikkim is a state in the north-east. Delhi is famous for its hustle and bustle while Sikkim is popular for its picturesque view of the hilly area.

Firstly talking about languages, both Sikkim and Delhi have English as an official language, along with Hindi (for Delhi) and Sikkimese Nepali (for Sikkim).

Secondly talking about festivals, both the places celebrate all major Hindu festivals like Diwali and Dussehra along with festivals like Muharram. Apart from that, Delhi celebrates festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Holi, Janmashtami and Durga Puja (to name a few). On the other hand, Sikkim celebrates other festivals like Maghe Sankranti, Bhimsen Puja.

Coming to sports, both the places have football and cricket as their most popular sports, enjoying it with great enthusiasm.

Now coming to famous personalities, Abul Kalam Azad (first education minister of India) and Brahm Prakash (first CM of Delhi) were freedom fighters from Delhi. Aditi Chauhan (footballer) and Virat Kohli (cricketer) come from Delhi. And Sikkim had the freedom fighter Trilochan Pokhrel. Nim Lepcha and Sonam Bhutia are footballers form Sikkim.

Talking about tourism, Delhi's famous places are Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Akshardham Temple, India Gate and Jantar Mantar. On the othe hand, Sikkim has magnificent cities like Gangtok, Pelling, Lachung, Yuksom and lakes like Samiti Lake.

Therefore, Delhi and Sikkim have something common although they are diverse. So any two places compared, may habe something common or may be diverse as everything has its own speciality and significance.
